How the Academy is built.
Built by an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, assessor and external examiner working with multiple awarding bodies and end-point assessment organisations. The Academy is an online education platform created with a passion for strengthening engineering knowledge and design skills among GCSE and A-level Design & Technology students across the UK.
A-level students often lose marks through weak technical knowledge, generic answers and limited product application. Our structured programme strengthens engineering understanding, exam technique and justified design decisions to support higher grades.
Exam Skills and Product Analysis
Interpret exam demands, apply command words and analyse unfamiliar products.
Material Properties and Polymers
Classify polymers, examine material properties and justify suitable applications.
Metals, Timbers and Composites
Compare material groups, evaluate properties and select appropriate finishes.
Industrial Manufacturing
Analyse manufacturing processes and justify selection through cost, tooling and volume.
